I really need to start wearing gloves when I do that. 6 hours after I peel them (once the pain meds wear off), they're still burning. While my tastebuds welcome the fire, my poor gringa hands to not. It hurts..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16010478.post-1132205327233222732005-11-16T21:28:00.000-08:002005-11-16T21:28:00.000-08:00Futurama has to be one of the most underated shows...Futurama has to be one of the most underated shows of all time. The last three seasons definitely
had some tear jerkers. "The Luck of the Fryish" (mentioned above) was the first. Also check out "Time Keeps on Slipping" where Fry moves the stars to spell out 'I love you, Leela', the very weird and somewhat confusing "The Sting" where Leela thinks Fry is dead, and series finale "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" where Fry enters a faustian deal with the Robot Devil to write Leela an opera. The last line of the series: "Keep playing Fry, I want to hear how it ends."

No series has ever so seemlessly combined low brow humor with pure tenderness.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16010478.post-1132049766532193622005-11-15T02:16:00.000-08:002005-11-15T02:16:00.000-08:00Another Futurama fan here. It's another 4-ply weepie.

GayProf, among your many talents you have good taste in cartoons, SF shows, and hunky actors whose work I've never actually seen.Gay Erasmushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10601435312552135755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16010478.post-1131998931281521172005-11-14T12:08:00.000-08:002005-11-14T12:08:00.000-08:00I am glad that I am not the only one who gets mist...I am glad that I am not the only one who gets misty-eyed over little Seymour's loyalty to Fry.

In truth, I have only been able to watch that episode once (because of said crying). Maybe when I feel like I need to cry, I will put it in the DVD player.GayProfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11289510184782252498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16010478.post-1131990487493733782005-11-14T09:48:00.000-08:002005-11-14T09:48:00.000-08:00I'm a huge Futurama fan, and I always have to shut...I'm a huge Futurama fan, and I always have to shut off the T.V. before I get to the credits of that episode, otherwise I wind up clutching my confused dog, bawling my eyes out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16010478.post-1131989227862017372005-11-14T09:27:00.000-08:002005-11-14T09:27:00.000-08:00Beautiful Thing doesn't make me weepy, but it is ...Beautiful Thing doesn't make me weepy, but it is one of my favorite gay films. You're right, it takes the most cliche-ridden trope of gay films and actually manages to pull it off with wit and originality.

I can't watch that ep[isode of Futurama because it gets me all choked up at the end.Dorianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14754097613320749614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16010478.post-1131983964750837122005-11-14T07:59:00.000-08:002005-11-14T07:59:00.000-08:00I'm not a great fan of the film Philadelphia. The color purple makes me bawl like a baby. I too start crying the minute the movie starts and the two sisters are playing cheerfully. When I read the book I was crying throughout the last chapter I could barely see. I love that story.Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12869584065420927072noreply@blogger.com
